‘Monty’ Colleville Montgomery, Normandy
Bronze, 7′ high
The Normandy Veterans Association and the Municipality of Colleville Montgomery commissioned a seven-foot statue of the general after whom the town was renamed after the war.
It is installed on the seaward edge of the town in its own garden of remembrance, a stone’s throw from Sword Beach where the British 3rd Infantry Division landed on 6 June 1944.
